LEWISBURG- Evangelical Community Hospital will hold a series of classes through the month of April. They are as follows:
- Healthcare Provider CPR Class: Friday, April 7, 8:30 am-12:30 pm, at the Community Health and Wellness Center. Students will learn how to initiate the Chain of Survival, perform prompt, high quality chest compressions for adult, child, and infant victims, initiate early use of an AED and much more. Fee: $45. - Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, and AED Skills Class: Friday, April 14, 8:30 am, or Friday, April 28, 12:30 pm, at the Community Health and Wellness Center. It’s intended for anyone with little to no medical training in need of a course completion card. Hands-on practice and testing are conducted in-person with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor.Participants must complete the online portion through the AHA website before taking this class. Fee $25. - HeartCode BLS Skills Check Class: Friday, April 14, 12:30 pm, or Friday, April 28, 8:30 am, at the Community Health and Wellness Center. This session will use a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities to teach students BLS knowledge and skills. Fee $25. Registration is required; call 570-768-3200 or register online.
- Heartsaver Adult/Child/Infant CPR & AED: Wednesday, April 19, 6-10 pm, at the Community Health and Wellness Center. This American Heart Association course is for people who want to learn how to give CPR to an adult, child, and infant, how to use an AED, and how to assess the scene and phone the emergency response number. $45 registration fee.
